Chapter 8
"The ghost is in the clock room"
When asked if the spirit had taken on any horrible or ugly forms, my cousin John's face changed color and fluctuated between pale red and white. He claimed he could not deny that his room was haunted because it was possessed by the spirit of a woman. When asked if his wife was aware of the presence of that spirit, my cousin said firmly, "No." He answered.
"yes"
He responded when his wife enquired whether she had spoken:
"Oh my God, yes!"
How did she say it?
His wife made him promise to be the mouthpiece of the soul and was so careful that nothing should be withheld that he would do his best, relying on her correction. He apologized, saying that he wished she would have agreed to answer and would have done better than he did.
As he was about to begin, my cousin replied, "I imagine the ghost of my wife was here sitting next to me."
He held his wife's hand as we sat around a round table, and we all clasped
