Chapter 185. Paris

At 10 PM, the two women arrived at the airport. They promptly got into the waiting car.

"Straight to the hotel, Miss?"

"Yes, please."

During the ride, Emily focused on the view outside the window, taking in the breathtaking nighttime scenery of Paris.

The clear sky made the stars sparkle brilliantly, casting a peaceful glow over the dark expanse. A crescent moon hung low, bathing the surroundings in a soft, ethereal light.

As they crossed a bridge, the city lights reflected off the water's surface, creating a stunning panorama. The shimmering lights on the water looked like thousands of tiny stars descending to earth.

For some reason, seeing this made Emily feel better. She was grateful Eleanor had brought her here.

"Lea?"

"Hmm?"

"Thank you."

Eleanor, understanding, smiled and replied casually, "You're welcome!"

This made Emily laugh softly.

The bustling city of Paris matched her currently empty feelings.
