Chapter 72. A Wife's Instincts

The next morning, Bella felt much better. She asked Della to pick her up for the office, as staying home doing nothing made her miss her husband even more.

While waiting for her ride, Bella picked up her phone and called her husband.

Ring...

"Morning, love..." Austin greeted as soon as the call connected on the first ring. Bella smiled, knowing her husband always prioritized her.

"Morning, hubby. I miss you... Don’t take too long, okay?" Bella said, her voice filled with longing.

"Yes, darling, I'll try to come home tonight, okay? And I'm sorry I couldn't be with you and Arion today."

They talked, sharing their longing, "I love you too... See you," she said, ending the call.

Shortly after, Della and Ethan arrived to pick her up. During the drive, Bella asked about the work Austin was currently handling. His sudden departure made her think it must be extremely urgent.

Ethan answered honestly, stating that the work couldn't be postponed
