“He’s not going to harm you, I promise.” Eros began, his voice firm as he held Aria’s eyes. “I’m here now, and I’m going to protect you for the rest of your life.”

“I can speak to him if you want, set him straight, and warn him to stay off you forever.”

“What if he presses charges against you?” Aria asked. “I just got you back. I don’t want to deal with you having to go to jail over something like this.”
