Chapter 27
NATASHA’S POV
My eyelids fluttered and I opened my eyes slowly.
“Ah!” I screamed a little when I noticed my bruised body and bleeding leg. I was too weak and tired to sit up or stand up so I just slumped there.
In its darkest moments, pain can be an isolating abyss, a void that swallows all light and hope. Yet, even in the bleakest darkness, a spark within me refuses to be extinguished. For in the heart of pain lies a paradox – the power to transform, to renew, and to rebirth.
The pain was so unbearable. Everywhere ached and my head hurt even worse.
I guess this is where it all ends.
Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I realized I couldn't stand up, couldn't even crawl. All I could do was hope.
Hope that someone would find me soon, hope that my injuries weren't too severe, hope that I wouldn't be stuck here forever. The thought sent a shiver down my spine.
