Chapter 67

Hephaestus POV

I was late once again.

Like the other time. Just the way I got there late to rescue Nat. I was late to the ranch once more. I couldn't stop the fire.

We were a little close to the ranch when I saw the ranch on fire. Nat saw that too.

"Stop the car," She shouted. I didn't stop, instead I sped to the ranch as fast as I could. I couldn't park well before Nat alighted from the car. She ran to the ranch hastily. I alighted too.

I rushed to the ranch. The villagers around were outside the ranch already trying to quench the fire but that seemed hopeless because the fire kept burning. It seemed to be getting worse.

The fire wouldn't stop.

"How did this happen?" One of the villagers asked.

"No one knows," Another one answered.

"Nana," Nat called, rushing to where her Nana was.

"Natty," She called, surprised to see Nat. She hugged her tightly. I coul
