Chapter 42
Walt’s face was quite marred. He wasn’t the epitome of grace and beauty by any standard, at least according to Keith’s thought, but he did have a pretty nice face, and Keith felt quite bad that he had caused the mortal such disfigurement. He realized that now that he examined the man in the dark room, trying to figure out a way to undo the damage He had done. He had placed Walt in an indefinite slumber until he could figure out how to reverse the damned stone thing.
He could ask his mother for help, but after the drama with Cassandra the day before, she would definitely not listen to him at all. In fact, Nyx would do the complete opposite of helping him. She might as well kill the mortal just to teach him a lesson. He didn’t want that happening. The thought of anybody dying because of a mistake he made was appalling. He didn’t think he could get over it.
Well, that certainly wasn’t the only thing he couldn’t get over.
