Keith let out a low groan when Cassandra pushed at his chest. Hesitantly, he let go of her soft lips, opening his eyes to see her glare up at him. Her breathing had become rushed, and he didn’t need a seer to tell him. Kissing her had been the dumbest move ever.
“I must look like such a simpleton to you, right?” She laughed in derision. “I’m sure all you thought was that as long as you kissed me, I’d be a fool. I’d follow you like an idiot so you could tinker around with my brain and play with my feelings again.”
“Cassandra,” he called, and she shook my head rapidly, shoving away from him.
“I’m not that crazy about you!” She hissed. “I’m not stupid to believe that you won’t wake up tomorrow and treat me like the asshole you are. I’m not stupid, Keith!”
“You’re not,” he agreed. “I was stupid to think I could let you go. I was stupid, Cassandra, do you hear me?!”
