Chapter 116. The Treason

When morning came, Red, Fiona, and Aelea sat on a fallen trunk in the courtyard of Kit's workshop. All three squinted as the dome closed, and the sky turned light blue as if it were the beginning of the day. Kit came out of the workshop carrying several bowls of porridge on a tray.

"Hey, why didn't you ask me to carry that?" said Red.

"Relax, Red." Kit chuckled softly. "It's not heavy at all."

The four of them enjoyed breakfast before Red checked on Speed's workshop. Modifying the weapon might take even longer. But who could avoid a disaster?
