Chapter 115. Unexpected Ally

Aamon loosened his grip as they reached Kit's workshop, which had sustained some damage. A tree had fallen over, its roots ripped out and sticking out of the ground. 

If Kit and the others hadn't been brought to the hangar, Red would probably be panicking right now. But she was glad that all her friends were safe.

"Wow, this place is quite destroyed. I have to check on my friends," Aamon said.

Red looked at him and smiled. "Thanks for walking me here."

Aamon nodded. "Take care of yourself, Red."

"You too."

Then Aamon sprinted down the familiar road they had taken, moving so fast that Red could barely see him before his figure disappeared. Quickly, Red made her way into the workshop. There was no sign of Troy guarding the entrance.

"Kit?" Red called as she opened the door.

It was empty inside, not a soul in sight. The room was dark.
