Chapter 84. Ingo

Ingo's hands were open as she stared intently. "Hello, Red."

"Ingo..." Red ran and embraced the AI she believed to be destroyed forever. The girl cried, feeling the cold metal body, yet Red's heart remained warm. It felt like life on Earth was returning, and Red was in safe hands.

"I thought I lost you. I saw you being destroyed by the claw."

"I was repaired, Red."

"By whom?"

"Red, there's something much more important. You don't need to worry about who revived me," said Ingo. She held both of Red's shoulders. "This concerns your safety and Aelea's."

"What's really going on, Ingo? What is all this about?"

"We have to talk a lot so you understand what really happened."

The highest-level AI had been created decades ago, and the most perfect one was Viz. A complement to the previous seven AIs, collectively called Octagon. Viz's perfection was done by Jeremiah Harts when he was still young.
