Chapter 74. Before Trial
Twenty-four hours later in Milton, Elijah and his friends were ready to go to Washington. They weren't in jail when they arrived, they were still resting in the barracks, but hearing the word "court" made the young people feel uneasy.
The government seems to need anyone who can be appointed and used as a problem, while the most important thing is to find a way to destroy aliens with orbs.
They waited in the dining room, enjoying an unappetizing lunch, because in an hour they would be flown to Washington. And who knows what would await the five young people there.
"You should know that we were provoked by Phebe. Why aren't she and Master Gideon on trial alone?" Josh grumbled.
"But we ate their traps. They see that we have a tendency to break the rules." Bernice said as she chopped the broccoli into small pieces with a knife. "If we don't say yes to what Phebe said, none of this will happen."
"You said yes. We just followed you." Josh shrugged nonchalantl
