Chapter 73. Runaway Swarm

Elijah and the team quickly entered the tunnel and heard a powerful explosion that shook the earth. Puffs of dust entered the tunnel as it shook. They waited for more than ten minutes until the conditions outside were completely favorable.

They slowly emerged from the tunnel, the atmosphere outside still thick with smoke rising to the sky. There were no remains of ants or corpses lying around, just burned and smelly levels.

"We made it," Josh muttered in disbelief. He immediately threw his arms around Elijah. "We did it, Elijah! We destroyed the Orb!"

Elijah nodded, though he was still thinking about the light he had seen slip away from the Orb before it was destroyed. His gaze shifted to the other teammates, all of whom showed great relief.

"Do we need to check the tunnels?" asked Drew suddenly. "That thing from before, is it still alive or not? We should catch it."
