When we get back into the house, I act like I’m just going to return the drone to its original place on the shelf, but I give myself at least five minutes in my room.
What was she doing?!
Whatever that was, it was bound to tear every sliver of sanity I had left. I look down at my pants in contemplation. Concealed beneath the beige material is seven inches of raging hardness that wants to be let out, into the one it’s hard for.
In the bathroom sink, I let cold water run into my hands, wishing they were ice cold, and slap it against my face.
“Lucian… you got this. Twenty-one days.” I repeat to myself over and over again.
Why twenty one days?
In the military, that was the average amount of time for consistency needed to pick up, or drop a habit. If I’m going to have any chance at dispelling Isabelle from my mind, it’s going to have to be over a period of twenty-one days.
Even that sounds impossible.
