Emery’s POV

I was sitting boredly on the couch while doing nothing. I’m bored as fuck, alright! I want to go out but I don’t know where to go. Plus my injured arm is irritating me and it’s really eye-catching. People would talk about my injured arm and my life is already as messy as my mother-in-law’s face.

“How’s life being jobless, huh?” My mother-in-law was walking down the stairs, looking at me with a mischievous smile on her lips.

I smiled sweetly at her. “I think you can explain it better, mother-in-law. You’ve been jobless ever since you got married, right?”

Her smile slowly faded. “I don’t need to work because I am the light of this family. My son and husband are providing for me. Besides, I’m not like you who’d rather drown herself in paperwork than take care of her husband!”
