I took a deep breath after putting a blanket on Emery. She fell asleep after taking her medicine. I stared at her face and slowly leaned closer. I wiped the excess tear on her cheek but I clenched my jaws after another lone tear rolled down her face even while she’s sleeping.

My heart is racing in anger. Whoever sent that fucking, threat, I will make them pay. How dare they scare her like this? How dare they make her cry?
