Chapter 75. Never Letting Go

Emery’s POV

Georgina stayed in my office. Even after work, she wants to go with me to my condo. I don’t know but I feel like she knows something so she’s insisting on spending time with me. She said we can watch movies together in the condo or anything.

“Georgina, tell me the truth. Why are you here?” I asked when I couldn’t ignore it anymore.

She frowned and sighed while sitting on the couch. I was leaning against the island counter.

“I heard what happened,” she answered honestly. “About the… package.”

I sucked my breath and squeezed my eyes closed. I swallowed hard and pressed my lips together.

“Terrence called me. He told me to spend time with you for a while, so I harassed him, thinking he hurt you and he told me the truth.”

Terrence did that? For what? He already comforted me.

“He asked me to be with you while he hasn’t come home. He’s worried that you’d get scared when you’re alone here.”

I nodded and sat beside her
