Emery’s POV
“Coffee?” I asked Tristan after we entered the unit. He nodded, smiled and sat on the couch.
I went straight to the kitchen and opened the cupboard to get two mugs. I made two coffees for us and put them on the island counter. Tristan got up from the couch and sat on the stool chair in front of me.
“How’s life?” Tristan asked while smirking.
I smirked back at him. “Fine.”
“That’s too short. We didn’t get to see each other for several days, Em. You were so busy with your studio that you didn’t even visit us in the company.”
I chuckled. “Well, I’m still building my business’ name. I need to find clients and investors.”
He sipped on his coffee and smiled. “Why did you even refuse Terrence’s offer of investment?”
“He’s already a client, Tristan. If he carries me on his back all the time, I won’t be able to use my own feet to stand.”
