Chapter 17. Arguing with Kaylin

The fact that Dominic and I secretly promised to pretend to be engaged for three months was a matter only the two of us knew. Dominic certainly wouldn’t be stupid enough to tell Kaylin about this. And of course I don’t either.

It follows that the conversation in Joan’s royal garden that day was overheard by Kaylin.

This is really bad, if this secret is revealed then I will bear all the humiliation and be spit on by the nobility. A scandalous ballerina will never become famous. I cannot let that happen.

“Kaylin, if you don’t have proof, don’t say such things.” I tried to calm down and looked at Kaylin.

“Is that so? Then you should try to hide the evidence well, don’t let me find out. By the time I reveal to everyone that you’re just Dominic Arnold’s lustful mistress, your life will be miserable.”

Kaylin said casually, then left with Jade and her friends. Jade looked at me with a triumphant look, she seemed to be gloating when Kaylin helped her bully me.
