Chapter 296. No Power

It was pitch dark and I could not see a thing. I was not going to pannic but I jus could not help it. Yes, I was afraid of the dark. It was something that I was not proud of. But it had started the day that my dad had left me and my mom when I was younger. 

I remember it so well because when he had left that day, our power got cut off due to a storm for one week. I used to sleep with my mom but still felt so scared. So yeah, that was how it all started. 

“I can’t see!” I exclaimed. “Please, I can’t see!” I was already panicking and my heart was pounding in my chest. I felt like with each passing minute, I was getting closer to getting an anxiety attack. 

I took in a deep breath and tried to calm myself but it was just not happening. “I’m right here, dear,” My father said, his voice bringing me a bit of comfort. I tried my best to stay still until I finally felt his arms wrap around me. 

As for Mark, I could not see him but I could hear him groani
