Chapter 20. Tense Party

Everyone knew Judith had always been at odds with Lauren since university, and she only wanted to flaunt her boyfriend to provoke Lauren. In terms of wealth, Lauren's husband might not be as affluent as Judith's boyfriend, but Lauren's prestigious family background was superior. A Harris family business was stronger than a thousand nightclubs. The comparison seemed somewhat mismatched.

Though the Harris family wasn’t the strongest in Lightharbor, being just a second-tier family, this backing was still more solid than anyone else present. Judith didn’t even seem to realize this. Wasn’t she aware of her own shamelessness?

Judith's introduction of her boyfriend didn’t garner much reaction, leaving her displeased. After all these years, even when Lauren had fallen into such dire straits, Judith still couldn’t surpass her, which was very frustrating.

So, she added: "My boyfriend also owns a lot of guns. In the future, if anyone gets bullied, you can contact me."
