Chapter 30. Truth or Dare

Elena’s POV

“Truth or dare?” Mark scoffed. “What are we, kids? Please, give me a break.”

“Oh relax,” Bella laughed, clapping her hands. “It’ll be fun. We’ve never done this before.” Then she looked at me with a teasing smile. “And I’m sure Elena would love to know more about my brother.”

I hesitated. Truthfully, I was curious about Eric. But I knew he protected his privacy. I wouldn’t want to intrude. But Eric stunned me when he agreed before anyone else could argue.

“Fine,” he said calmly. “I’m in.” Then he dropped onto the couch.

I sat beside Bella, while Mark joined us at last, clearly annoyed. A maid brought drinks as Bella quickly explained the rules.

“I spin the bottle. Whoever it lands on chooses truth or dare. Easy.”

“Just start already,” Mark muttered.
