Mark’s POV
I slammed my foot on the gas, and the Ferrari Bella bought me only days ago shot forward, gliding over the road like it barely touched the ground. The engine purred smoothly, obedient, expensive, and perfect. Normally, I would’ve enjoyed every second of it. Hell, I loved this car.
But tonight, my head was a mess.
Elena’s face wouldn’t leave my mind. The way she had looked straight at me and said I wanted to kill her. Kill her?
I scoffed, gripping the steering wheel tighter. Did she really believe that? Did she honestly think I hated her that much? No. Never. I wouldn’t lay a hand on her, not even when she drove me insane.
