Chapter 37

Michael felt so exhausted after a heavy day at the office. He gazed around him and then back at the laptop screen that was sitting pretty in front of him.

“Oh my! It’s almost 5 PM already!” He exclaimed the moment his eyes fell on the clock that sat on the left-hand side of the office.

His stomach gave a rumbling sound, and that was when he remembered that he had had nothing to eat all day except the meal he had at home the previous time. He sighed and rose to his feet at once.

“I need to stress my body a bit…” He said to himself, flapping his hands and legs around. His phone rang. It was Diana. “Oh my goodness!” It dawned on him again.

“Hello, Diana, what’s up?” He greeted with a blush as he placed the phone between his shoulder and ear. He knew she was going to accuse him of not calling her, but to his utmost surprise, she did nothing of the sort.
