Chapter 30
I drove Dominic to our private beach after Richard Vera permitted us to be ourselves on his land. Marian agreed to assist me in preparing our meal, and Dominic was surprised to learn that I had used my nanny's name.
“What made you feel the need to make up your name? Oh, my goodness! Juliana, I felt so humiliated!” he screamed.
“Let's get on with it, okay? “It has already occurred,” I informed him.
Dominic sighed, but nothing could change what had happened before. We can either linger on it or forget about it and concentrate on the present. “I wish you hadn't lied about your name because it feels strange, especially when we first made love,” he remarked.
“You're right, but then we won't be able to modify it.” I reasoned out, “I already lied.”
“And I don't think I'll be able to control your sass, you know, it's just natural.”
