Ricard looked at her for a moment, his expression unreadable. “Aren’t you afraid others might see?” he asked, his voice emotionless.

Emma smiled softly, “Everyone’s in the main hall. No one will notice.”

He remained silent for a moment, then bent down, reaching out to lift her. “Alright,” he said curtly.

Emma wrapped her arms around Ricard’s neck as he lifted her. She could feel the warmth of his body, though his face remained cold, revealing no emotion. His steps were steady as he carried her out of the restroom.

As they walked down the hallway, Emma softly said, “Thank you for coming.”

Ricard didn’t look at her, simply responding, “You need medical attention.”

They walked through the long hallway, dim lighting casting soft shadows around them. No one crossed their path, just as Emma had anticipated.

When they reached the elevator, Ricard pressed the button. As they waited, Emma looked at him, “Aren’t you going to ask what happened?”
