Chapter 9

Hearing his name, Xavier dashes as fast as the wind. He was following Lyca, yet decided to keep his distance. However, Xavier’s attention was aroused by another scent, so Xavier chose to find the source of it. But before he could go far, he heard Lyca call his name.

“Damn it! It started, but it was too early. The moon is not yet set!” Xavier asserted, seeing Lyca writhing on the ground.

“Ahhh!!!” Lyca screamed in pain as her tears continued to flow. She doesn’t know what part of her body to touch because the pain creeps all over her body.

“I’m here… Don’t worry,” Xavier muttered as soon as he got closer. Not wasting time, he quickly picked up Lyca. “We need to go to a safe place,” Xavier whispered and hurriedly ran.

Between crying and panting, Lyca looks at Xavier. “What is happening to me? What did you do to me?” Lyca’s gaze filled with hatred as her teeth chattered.
