I didn’t even hear the murmurs or the whispers anymore. All I heard was Dahlia’s footsteps slamming against the floor as she ran.

I moved after her instantly, but I barely made it three steps before a hand yanked my arm.

“Sebastian… wait!” She snapped, blocking my path like she owned the ground I stood on. “You can’t just walk out and leave this situation unresolved!”

My jaw clenched so hard I felt something crack. Leave the situation unresolved? Whose fault was it that we have a situation in the first place? I swear by my unfound parents, today is the last day Loren would dare step on me. I’m going to clip her wings.
