Diego sat cross-legged on the couch, laptop open, fingers flying over keys, eyes scanning data and tabs with the intensity of a man whose life depended on it.
I stood by the window, arms crossed, jaw tight, listening to the hum of the servers and the faint tapping of keys.
Everything about today had been out of routine. First Loren. Then the reminder of what Dahlia had walked into at Alex Fisher’s dinner. And now… the leak.
