The first thing I saw was Dahlia’s face.
Tight. Flushed. Angry.
The second thing I saw was him. Adrian—his hand gripping her arm like he had any right to touch her.
Something inside me snapped.
I didn’t remember crossing the distance, didn’t remember calling his name. All I remembered was the sound of my own voice, low, cold, and deliberate, cutting through the air like a blade.
“I thought I asked you to stay away from her.”
Adrian froze. His hand fell from Dahlia’s arm immediately, guilt flickering across his features. “Sebastian… this isn’t what it looks like.”
“I don’t care what it looks like,” I said, stepping closer. My voice was steady, but my jaw was tight enough to hurt. “You don’t touch her. Ever again.”
He glanced at Dahlia, almost pleading. “Dahlia, tell him I didn’t…”
