Chapter 14

“Let me mind link, you both stay quiet!” She tells her siblings and they stare back at me with their normal features.

Nothing about these twins spark my interest at all. They look like normal identical twins, with slick bob-cut black hair and brown eyes. Why did Parker say they have a gift? Have they been blessed wolves, just as Lori said? Or are they simply tricking me as children do? Before I can know the actual answer, I’m stopped by the voice of Lori.

“It seems you two couldn't fool me at all, could you Charly?” She says a bit happy, cleaning her remaining tears when I hear the boy talk.

“You were tricked before, why allow it again?” Says the one on the left now known as Charly.

“Yes, well I allowed it once. Look where that got me. You two better not follow these bad choices of mine. No one deserves to be in a bad place for following their wolf’s desires.” She finished and I felt a pang of pain in our mate bond after her words were said out loud.
