Chapter 60
For a moment I panic thinking that I'm alone in a place I don't know, but when I see Henry with a dishcloth over his shoulders, throwing it up and shaking the contents in a frying pan, the bad feeling fades and the air seems much more bearable.
I remember that I murmured something disconnected during my sleep. I felt Henry's arms closing more tightly around me, as he murmured, "It's okay, you're safe." I remember feeling the warmth of your lips in contact with my skin, a restrained smile slightly stretching my lips. I don't remember what you said. I just remember feeling an immense satisfaction going through my body. The tears were gradually drying as he consoled me, as he did in so many other ways when we were inpatients in a psychiatric clinic. It's lovely to know that your care for me hasn't changed at all.
