I wonder over and over again if I've sent the right kind of reply or if I've overreacted, but I leave my cell phone on the bed while I take off my clothes and head to the bathroom for a long, hot shower. I stand under the shower for a long time feeling the hot water wash over my body and when I return to my room wearing my favorite comfy pajamas, I see the sound of my cell phone again.

I quickly take the phone in my hands as if it's the only thing that matters in the world right now. I'm anxious too and knowing that you'll be with me makes everything better. I roll my eyes reading the message for the second time and this time I decide not to reply because I don't know if I could control myself and send him any more messages. I can't be an annoying person and I control myself by turning off my cell phone and lying down on my bed staring at the ceiling of my room.
