"Oh yes! He told me that he knows you and asked me to talk to you about the scholarship program," I say, and he nods.

"I haven't seen Jacob in person for a long time, but I'm happy to try and help a friend of his. My name is Charles Denver, and I'm the director in charge of this university. How are you?" he asks gently, and I smile.

"I'm very well, thank you! I didn't know you and Jacob were such close friends," I say, and he points to one of the shelves behind him.

My eyes fixate on a picture inside a small frame, and I'm surprised to see the director and Jacob smiling young and together in the image.

"He was my best friend, and we studied together at this place. I may look too young to be a principal, but I accepted this position when the previous principal unfortunately died," he says it, and I nod.

"Well, Jacob told me that you're Brazilian and want to try for a place at our university, right?"
