"I lacked the means to go in search of her but now I do. One week and she'll be home with me."

"I hope you don't try something funny, it might ruin your reputation."

He rolled his eyes at me, "Whatever you have to do, you have less than a week, Mr. Jason."

He returned the paper to his briefcase and stood to his feet, "I should go now, have a good day." He paused at the door and turned his face to me, "It looks like you have fallen in love with the damsel."

I sat without a reply, I didn't even move an inch as I wasn't expecting the sudden question.

He hiked up a brow at me with a crazy smile.

"Am I right?" He turned inside again. "When love happens, so, why did she leave?"
