Walking into Cordona for the second time in three days sounded fun. Except it was not. My head was pulsing faster than my heart, I hadn’t taken a drop of coffee in twenty-four hours, and I was fighting with Donovan.
That’s right. His name from now on would be Donovan. Narcissistic pricks didn’t get to have their names shortened into cute nicknames.
When we woke up by six-thirty, I told Don...Donovan that I was going to run to my apartment to shower and get fresh clothes. He agreed at first and said he would come with. I started on his coffee maker and waited for him to get ready. His words when he stepped out of the steaming bathroom with a fluffy blue towel around his waist were, “Ash? Don’t you think it’d be better to shower here? I have some clothes that’ll fit you too.”
