Reaching the stair-landing, a familiar figure blocked my path stopping me from moving any further. I frowned up at Kale, my eyes filled with questions I was too distracted to ask. I looked past him to see that I’ve lost sight of both Trisha and Jet. 

“Is there any? Treason why you’re in my way?” I asked since he just stood there not saying a word or moving out of my way. 

He held up his hands. “Jet saw you coming after him and mind-linked me to stop you, I had nothing to do with this, I’m simply following orders.” He answered. 

“Why wouldn’t he let me come after him? He's doing something dangerous right? I demanded and when he hesitated, I knew Jet must have told him not to tell me anything. After everything we’ve been through? screw that! After the discussion we had this afternoon?

At this point, I was so fuckiomng done! I too
