Chapter 81. Seeking Answers

Mirabelle’s POV

“They are here to take you. Say the truth and only the truth will set you free.” Olivia says with a whisper and walked out of the Cottage.

The door burst open again and I didn’t bother to look up thinking Olivia came back.

“The king sends for you.” The voices made me peer up immediately. Olivia knew they were coming and warned me on time.

Something in my guts knew it was unpleasant. The Alpha sent his guards and the manner they spoke seemed fishy; the truth is about to come to light. I have to tell my part of the story which was nothing but the truth.

“I’ll lead the way.” I stood up and led the way as they followed behind me as I made my way to the Alpha’s court. Whatever happens from my truth I take it in good faith. The truth has been eating at my heart for so long and I kept paying no heed to it.
