Chapter 84
The sun finally rose, and the two parted ways. Vince said he'd be at the inn to assist the couples, but Jill, on the other hand, wanted to settle things once and for all.
She headed towards Vince's house to talk to Mrs. Valdez. They sat in the living room, and Mrs. Valdez was apparently impatient.
"If you're asking me to reconsider you, you're wasting your time and mine," said Mrs. Valdez.
"You only know me through Vince's stories and our little interactions when I was treating you. After all I've done, you hated me. Why is that?"
"I don't hate you. I never said that. But the only thing I know I mentioned was you're not the one for my son. Someone like you isn't worth Vince."
"Someone like me? An orphan? Raised by a single relative? Someone who doesn't come from money?"
