Chapter 9

Today is our last day here in El Nido. I wore a black tank top and ripped jeans, because Wyatt and I planned to walk around the souvenir shops today.

I brought my wallet and cellphone. I also put on sunblock and while I was doing that I couldn’t help but think of what Wyatt said he was supposed to put on.

Duh, as if.

When it was over, I sprayed perfume and no makeup came out of the suite. I caught daddy having coffee on the sofa while reading the newspaper.

“Hey, dad,” I approached him and kissed his cheek.

“My princess looks so pretty today…” she commented so I laughed softly.

“Duh, I’m pretty every day, daddy!”

“I mean, look at you, you have no makeup but you smile so sweet. What a view, huh?” I couldn’t help but smile at my lips. “What’s up for you today, princess?”

I roamed my eyes around the interiors of the suite to think of a good alibi. “Uh… well, I… uh, had a good sleep last night since this is a really nice place, I think.” I
