It was a 25-toc trip to the tech part of town where the tech designers and laborers lived and generally hung out. The streets and houses were actually quite nice. They weren’t anything close to the grandeur of the royal and noble homes in the upper-class parts of town, but they were quite livable, especially for people unused to anything else.

Bits & Chips Bar & Grill dominated much of the tech area of TechnoLot. The building had been used as a stable in the days before electronic horses became all the rage. It was a dingy, rundown place. The paint on the outside was so worn and old it looked as if no one had ever bothered to paint it. Its regulars said it had character, but most other people called it a dive. Still, Bits & Chips was where all the action was. The noise and laughter from the bar filled the street.
