Chapter 35

Skin ripping sounds were heard even from afar. The noise made Gunner turn to see what was happening only to see Philippe and Ace’s hearts violently ripped out of their chests by the wolves holding them down. He tried to shield Zayla from the bloody sight of the two warriors who she somewhat grew close with during her quick visit back to Las Vegas, but the sight of more wolves led by Jackson made him pick her up in hopes of quickening his pace with her in his hold.

Zayla fell out of Gunner when Jackson reached them and pulled the beta down with a hard punch that landed on his jaw.

Zayla, while unsteadily standing up, tried to reach out for the beta as she sees him hit the ground, “Gun!”

“Zayla, run to the airport and don’t look back. NOW!” Gunner tried to block the rogue running after the future Luna but he was strong and was able to dodge his attack.

Zayla stared across the road at Gunner. The beta’s body looked like knotted whipcord on a dried skeleton.
