“He’s back.” Kayden heard Zayla scramble in the other line before dropping the call. He takes a deep sigh of mixed frustration and relief. He may have lost two of his greatest fighters on the field, but at least he knows his beta friend is alright. And his mate.
He tugs at his hair at the thought that she had almost been abducted again.
“Just, what are you?!” Kayden threw whatever he picked up first with his fist and let it crash and break, not giving a care about what he was picking up.
