Chapter 53

Droplets of blood started trickling down Gunner’s neck when Kayden didn’t get a response yet again when he asked where Zayla was. His eyes darkened, blind fury taking over his mind at the thought that he lost his mate.

‘There’s no other way…’ The beta started shivering in the alpha’s grip and his bones started popping out of their sockets and breaking. With one guttural growl, Gunner was able to pull himself free out of the alpha’s hands when he decided to shift into his wolf form.

The leaves made rustling sounds as the beta started to paw at the ground, preparing to jump at Kayden’s neck. But the alpha immediately read his movements and instantly moved to the side, avoiding Gunner’s attack. Getting into his own fight stance, Kayden then elbowed Gunner’s face to block his next advances and shifted himself.

Growling and snapping of teeth were heard that rumbled deep in the forest as the two large wolves started to circle each other, their fangs bared threateningly.<
