Chapter 58
Zayla lunged. Growls met snarling. She barely recovered from taking down three more to everyone’s surprise.
Blocking punch after punch and returning the attacks with her jabs so quickly that others had to jump out of her way. Her claws whizzed across the space where an exposed stomach was less than a second ago.
Their bodies met again and again.
Other wolves slashed at her when she was getting up from a fall. The sting of blood rushing against her skin egged on more assaults on the open wounds in hopes to weaken her more. But Zayla refuses to look at the wound; her concentration had already cost her many times. Instead, she chose to take a difficult parry, channeling her strength into the action.
‘Let me help you, Will.’ Her wolf’s voice was very much worried.
But even if Zayla wanted to let her wolf take over for her, she could not, no matter how hard she tried to ease off her consciousness, ‘I don’t how to let you out that way yet. I’m sorry.’
