The just risen sun lit the scene of the dungeon. Wike lifted his eyes as he witnessed himself experience the agony of a vampire. Vampires consider death by sunlight as the worst agony they can experience. Being exposed to the just risen sun, he felt great pain and diminishment of power as he quickly went up in flames.

Mary was standing a few paces away from the dungeon as she watches Wike go up in flames. She didn’t start this war but she has to be the one to end it. If killing the entire vampires brought back by Azarial will make her feel good, she will stop at nothing archiving that. Her worries now are whether Daniel died before ending up in the underworld or if he was just taken there to be tortured?
