Chapter 80. Back from Grave

The barking of the far-away dogs disrupted the silence of the night. Judy was lying on her bed trying to get some sleep when the continuous barking of the dogs made her restless. She turned and turned wishing she could just make the barking stop with a snap of her fingers. She decided to try something different. She grabbed one of the pillows and covered her head as she pressed it onto her ears. The barking won’t stop. It continued to go louder and closer.

“I guess these stray dogs have gone nuts.”

Judy believes it was stray dogs trying to trouble her night. Something like this has never happened. She can’t figure out why this night is different from the other night. She used to enjoy a quiet and peaceful night. She couldn’t make a head or tail what was wrong with the dogs.

‘If they are pursuing something or someone, they should have gotten what they want by now.’ She rolled to the other side removing the pillow. She wants to find out what’s going on with the dogs.
