Chapter 87. Hunt for Ghouls
TEXAS WOODS
“Daniel stop!” Mary called out. Something isn’t right and she could tell it. They can’t be walking into thick woods just like that. It might be a trap. She sniffs and sniffs again.
“What’s the matter?” Daniel slackened his pace. He swerved and continued. “We are almost catching up with the scent.”
“That scent is not just the scent of a lady and whatever took her isn’t a werewolf,” Mary said. She sniffs as she cast a wide-eyed gaze on Daniel. She could tell what the scent of a werewolf smelled like and the scent she was catching up with now doesn’t seem like that of a werewolf.
“Then if not a werewolf, what could it be?”
“I have no fucking idea.”
“Then let’s find out. Shall we?”
Daniel leads the way. He could tell Mary isn’t cool searching the woods. She wanted to turn away but at the same time eager to find out what creature might have the scratch on the motel wall.
They both finally came to a halt when they sighted a woode
