Chapter 108

Queenza still stood frozen, waiting for something bad to happen to her. Her heart rumbled so painfully. Her fingers clenched into fists while she mentally counted to ten, preparing for whatever would appear and attack her.

Several seconds later, until Queenza's count reached twenty, nothing happened. Suddenly, everything was quiet. The voice that seemed to come from the sky disappeared. Apart from day and night strangely coexisting there, nothing else was happening.

Queenza was still frozen but had stopped counting completely. She glanced around for a moment, then decided to walk calmly again to chase Kingsley. But again, she was stuck. The invisible glass wall still confined her. Did Kingsley do this?

Queenza's whole body had goosebumps. Her arms were crossed in front of her chest to block the air. Even though it's not cold at all it felt warm, like in the forest. This is just a form of fear of the strangeness around her.
