Chapter 19

Emily was shocked to see a pair of strange men and women suddenly appear in her yard while she was watering the plants with the housekeeper. And what shocked her even more until her knees felt weak was the figure they were holding.

"Errie?!" Emily exclaimed as she rushed over to them while the housekeeper immediately opened the door. It felt like Emily couldn't stand anymore seeing Tristan's body covered in blood. "What happened?" she asked with tears in her eyes.

"We'll talk inside. Show me the room!" the woman, who was none other than Marlene, whispered without stopping.

Emily immediately went ahead of them, showing them the way to the main room which was Tristan's room. Arriving there, the two people laid Tristan on the bed.

Emily gasped while covering her mouth with both hands. In such a lying position, the wounds on Tristan's body were visible. It was horrible and some looked like they were rotting.
